Just had our first appointment with the new doctors at forge rd surgery,wow what a difference, new nurse Beth Jones came out to visit my mum,she wS excellent very polite, very professional and treated my mum with respect, and gave my mum the best overall examination shes had for many years,my mum and myself were very impressed with the service Beth provided for her,and if this is the sign of things to come at forge rd,this will be very welcome

This surgery sums up exactly what is wrong with our NHS now, certainly regarding General Practice is concerned. The doctors are uncaring and can't wait to get rid of you. I tried to get a home visit for a family member, after explaining the reasons briefly and arranged an appointment for the following day. The next day I got a phone call from the doctor - asking for the reasons for a home visit, this after telling them the reasons when the appointment was arranged ! When I spoke to the doctor and explained the health problems further - she questioned the need for a home visit and refused to come, despite my relative having severe mobility problems ! Awful service !

Absolute disgrace of a surgery. My dad tried to get an appointment four times he'd phone up at 8:30 he then wouldn't get in touch with them till about 11am. It got to the point where he would go and sit and wait for an appointment. Baring in mind it was a follow up appointment that he needed to higher his dose of High Blood Pressure tablets as the tablets he was on weren't working properly. He finally got an appointment at 10am on 26th of November. His blood pressure went that high he had a heart attack on the 26th of November at 5:10am. If the receptionist would have give him his follow up appointment then my dad would still be here to this day but no they said "we don't have any call back tomorrow" for TWO WEEKS straight. I am taking this further don't think they will get away with this absolute awful matter. Thanks for everything receptionists!!!!!!!
